Rooibos
Rooibos naturally decreases nervous tension, supports the nervous system, and helps fights allergies.
What is Rooibos?
Rooibos is a broom-like plant that is indigenous to the Cedarberg Mountains of Cape Town, South Africa. It means red bush in Afrikaans. Rooibos cannot be found anywhere else in the world but is well known for its powerful antioxidant benefits and is often used to make herbal tea (rooibos tea).
Medicinal Uses of Rooibos
Rooibos is used to assist with nervous tension. This herb contains magnesium, zinc and iron which all assist in maintaining a healthy nervous system. Zinc and iron, in particular, support natural systemic balance in the brain, promoting standard consistency and normal functioning of the nervous system.
Rooibos is also known to help with allergies and digestive issues, as well as skin problems.
Rooibos is high in antioxidants and lacks caffeine. When compared to black tea and green tea leaves rooibos has a low tannin level.
